163 vs 155?

I have a very low mile 155 skid/track that I will trade to anyone for a 163. I put my stock 163 from an 08 D8 under my 07 D7 155 after I upgraded to an M-10 on the D8. The 163 made a world of difference on the D7.

Got a nice 155 maybe even a Timbersled kit to go with it for any of you 163 haters, let me know.

163 looks kinda funny under a 155, but I didn't need the VE tunnel extension so far with true testing. EW

163 under a 155 closest to ya

track length doesn't matter apperently in the steep and deep so i vote we all run 121's with 1/2 inch lugs. i'm sure i'll have no probs outclimbing my buds with the 162's, and of course i'll have no probs in 4 feet of fresh pow;) thats why i see so many trail sleds out busting the deep pow. i guess some guys just get used to operating with something small between thier legs:) the deeper and the steeper it gets the farther you will go with a longer track. so if your a serious steep and deep rider the longer the better up to a point, don't think they'll be selling any 200inchers anytime soon, although the turbo crowd... just my opinion others may vary but they will be wrong!

it is a lot of personal preference.
a 155 will get you anywhere a 163 will, it will just take a bit more work. The 163 will give you more forgiveness in the trees and climb higher in the really deep/steep. That being said, you will not be disappointed with a 155.
I personnally ride a 153 because i do not feel like i need anything longer, plus my sled has tendency to leave the ground. My riding is trees and hills and i have never gone longer than a 156" and have never been disappointed with it.

Which is it???

155 for me! My dad has a m7 with a 162 on it. 162 or 163 climbs like crazy! but I like the 155 for jumping, more all around fun. So my experience goes along with the others here!

155 vs. 163

The difference in track length from a 144 to 155 is almost the same as 155 to 163. I don't think that many of you running a 155 would go back to a 144. I have run 174's the last three years. There has never been a shorter non-turbo sled go any where I couldn't, but there have been lots of times the 174 was the first to breakout the trail without turning out and the shorter sleds had to follow.

i went from a 155 to a 144. i'm quite confident i won't have any issues going where i want or always have. granted i'm sure on one or two days a year the snow will be deep enough a 163 will get around a little better. but i no longer have a desire to always have the high mark on the hill. i just think the longer track thing is just a little over rated. but that's just me.

I finally went to a 163 last year and will never go back to anything shorter......but it would be nice to have another spare 121 sled...looking for one, but the average sled in utah is a 151 when the average sled in Alaska is a 136....yes im talking skidoo track lengths
