OK, time for the question.

for 09, go with the 154, or 163.

Please include your reasons why, and not just one or the other.
Looking for real life reasons, like "my buddy has the 163 and I wish I had one because.....

Thanks for the input.

well I have xp 163 and dont like it because I am small guy 175lb and turn that thing is very hard ,hard to do sidehilling and play between trees it is climbs little better and brakes better when you go down hill but if I have a chance now no way I would go more than 155

It totally depends on your height & weight in my opinion. I have a 154 and love it. I am 5' 10" at 205. My brother is 5' 10" at 260 and loves his 163. He like how he can throw my 154 around easier, but like how the 163 gets him anywhere he wants to go. He is also a VERY experienced rider and I have seen him do some amazing sh*t on any machine he rides. I was very uncomfortable on the 163 and love my 154!

Of course I guess I should state I am currently on a 06 800 159, so if anyone made that change this year, I would like an opinion as well.

Thanks guys.

My choice and an option.

I prefer the 154. For 2 reasons,

#1. I still like to play with the sled in the deep, I call it snow "dancing", properly set up its very nimble.

#2. Two words ..... "Track Speed"

If you are not into the highest mark, I have anotehr option for you, the 146 is an incredible performer. Except in the DEEPEST days, which equates to very rarely. The 146 out perfroms both the 154 & 163.

Read the Snowest Deep Powder Challenge.

I turned my 151 05 Summit into a 162 and I love it. I am only 5'9" and 150 lbs but I can throw it around all I want. The length seems to be more of a bother on the trail and hardpack than anywhere else.

I have had both a 162 and 151. It takes twice the real estate to turn a 162 around on the hill. The 151 is the Ideal track to me. They are more playful and nimble. I can rare the 151 up and spin it around on it's tail. It is tough to do that on a 162. I don't believe there is that much difference in climbing. The 151 has more track speed. I keep telling my buddies the 162 is a penis compensator. I have out climbed a lot of 162's. I like to jump and hit steep banks and spin them on their tail besides hill climbing. If you just want to bang on the hill all day go with the longer one. I don't think there is any issue with how much you weight. It is what kind of rider you are and what you like to do.
