162x3

So is it worth getting 7tooth drivers for a M8 turbo? to run this track? or just leave it as is? Clearance must be pretty tight?

On Avid's web site it says 'you need to change out your dd for a non reverse' in order to use their 7" drivers for a 3" ce track. What's that all about. I have a 10' m8 162". Thanks. Whitman

Dont know how to upload pics but just picked up 2- 15x162x3 today for me an my buddy. They look unreal! Can't wait to try em out! An the shipping sticker says 47 pounds so actually a lot lighter than I thought.

The new Camo (9220) 15x162x3 track weighs 59 lbs, not 47. Either way its still lighter than the old multi-ply 3" tracks.

I paid less than $1000 shipped to my door.

The M chassis sled has to have the older M7 style diamond drive or the Diamond Lite that doesn't have the big bulbous end sticking into the tunnel in order to work with the 7t drivers or the track will rub on the drive.

2.6" Powerclaw will need less work to fit, but by saying less doesn't mean much. If you don't want to trim anything, Powerclaw. If you want the best track you can get hands down for climbing, 3" Xtreme. Gearing down and proper clutch setup will result in amazing gains on the 3". Anything setup poorly sucks! LOL... M8 gearing should be plenty for an M1000 even stock, I just went one step lower as OVS suggested with a DD lite high torque drive and lightweight shaft setup while doing the work since I will be pushing more than 15lbs boost on propane intercooled this season. Overkill yup, but that's how I roll! :bounce:

What about 2013 HCR 1100 turbo with 162x15x3" TD tubo force exhaust and 3" outlet combo TD 4 stage map EPMR Speedwerx clutching 0 - 5000 feet I'm looking for a good mountain and boondocking setup

If any of you guys wanna upgrade to the 3 incher I would be interested in buying your 2.6. Pm me. Thanks. Wanna still be able to boondock. Otherwise I would get the 3 inch. We don't have the "sugar" snow here in southern Oregon. Think 3 inch would be too much.

Stock drivers will work no problem and you do not need the DD Lite, you just need to trim the nubs on the inside of your track on the drive side.
If you do this track mod you will be very happy and will be able to turn down boost!!!
One of the best mods I ever did, well other than a turbo! LOL

You say its one of the best mods you've done. Are there any down sides to this track???

Paying for it was a bummer but other than that was a great mod.I have heard of people having issues with paddles breaking off but I haven't had any break.

looks awesome

i'm jealous, problem is my 2.25' powerclaw with turbo takes to places I don't want to be , Can't imagine making that much worse with 3", maybe with 3" won't be so scary coming back down

The 3" @10lbs+ on the M1 is pretty ridiculous, the raw pull on the arms in a climb with the skis at head height even with kmod will bring you places, coming down defiantly a bit easier, but still pretty nutts.

Alrite who's got some time on the new design 3". Lets hear the results. I've got mine in an will be in Revy dec 8 for my testing. Can't wait!!
