Hello.
I am thinkin of putting on a Powerclaw 162 track on my 2004 "159 Verical Escape.

What drivers would i need to do this?
Can i use the stock rails?
Must i go for a drop & roll kit?

Thanks!

162 PC on an Escape

If you put 7 tooth drivers on, you will be fine. You will have to move the suspension back .75" and cut the rail tips .75". You might want to run an anti-stab kit. A lot of people have run a 2.5" track with these drivers. Your 2.25" track should have more room.

I know it works with a 57mm lug height belt, 2,52 pitch and 7 tooth non slip..but that was pritty tight of clearance..Are you sure it will be room with the powerclaw??

I will be running the same set up as Volvokvaloya on my 03 Vertical Escape and was wondering if anyone had any experience with the PC 162 on an edge? I'm just curious how much better it will be than the stock 159?

My opinion is any track is better than the stocker that came on the edge's...

yeah I ran mine with 7 tooth drivers no drop and roll but I did put on an anti stab kit. You have plenty of clearance. going to 7 tooth drivers gives you .84 inch more clearance. keep in mind you are losing 1.68 inches per revoulution going to the 7 tooth 3" pitch drivers which will gear you down. you will loose about 5-6 miles an hour on top end. so you may have to adjust your gearing to pick that back up. You also have to cut the little nubs on the track where the drivers contact the track. I used different rails off a 163 dragon. you are going to have to take up an extra 1.5 " to fit the track so you can either move the skid back or get an off set big wheel kit to take up the slack. This is a great track!
