Where did the 146" go? I would be all for a 2013 146" RMK assault . What do you guys think?

But the sb assault running boards!!! Mine are like shovels! I've never owned longer than 144". I wonder if 155" would feel too long for tree riding and boondocking.

Cane off of a 144 RMK to the 155 Pro. I was skeptical but the boards were a concern and I did not want to buy a track for a new sled the first year. The only difference I notice is turning on hard pack. 144 was easier and tighter. he 155 is better in the trees, you can go slower and into tighter places in deep snow. Get on it and it jumps up and out right now.

All I do is ride trees and I ride a 163 3 inch and it works like a dream. Chris burandt has now switched to 163 and look where he rides

i like how people think the shorter the better for tight technical areas because they are "more nimble"......More track means you can go slower in technical areas because they float better. Short sleds are for jumping in set up snow where you would bend your rails on a 155 or 163.

How do the boards feel on the RMK's? They are definitely more narrow than the SB Assault. Then again, they have 4 times the clearing ability.

I have a 2011 SB Assault, and had all these plans for narrowing the front end, 146" challenger track, fabbing more clearing into the boards, shorter & smaller seat, etc... I realized I was trying to make it an RMK.

So I am looking at selling and snowchecking an RMK. A 155" Pro or Assault is sounding very good.

rider preference i guess, i have an iq which width wise is the same, i have size 14 boots. The stock boards are fine, but i stand with my foot centered on the outer rail not inside the rail where i would need wider boards.
