141 Is it really Too short?

I should offer up that one of the best riders in the United States (better than ANY of the individual riders posted who up here thus far, take that sucka's;) myself included by far) mentioned he would primarily be riding a sled longer than 155" again this season...
[ + Skilz = shorter Trax? ] Maybe not...

Disagree with you there. I have seen some damn good riders on the short stuff. BCIL is no slouch. I have seen him do stuff in trees on his that I cannot do on mine because it's too long. I'd love to go the next length down from my XP 154. My old Summit with the 144 was perfect. And I went everywhere I wanted.

Yeah, but keep in mind that as a guide, he's got a different purpose than most of us these days.

Nobody will question that a longer track makes it easier. Shoot, a good buddy who rides a 163 pro can go anywhere I can on a deeper day... but it's just kinda boring & predictable watching that sled go up a hill. Turbo helps turn a 163 into something fun again... but still only a few days a year where that 163 will do something I can't.

It's really not about "can you", it's about what YOU enjoy, PERIOD. I hop on Bparks's sled & HATE that thing... skis glued to the ground, just feels all wrong... Pretty sure he feels just as off when he gets on mine.

Ride what you enjoy. On a 141, there WILL be a few days you'll wish it was longer.(in 3 years I've had about 4-5 days I wished I had a 153) On a 162, there will be many days you wish it was shorter... compromises!

I still have nightmares about selling my 141". People say I talk in my sleep about it :face-icon-small-win. Throw some lightweight mods, some clutching, and maybe a little added power at it and give her hell. Its crazy how much fun the shorty is. Cat needs to hurry up and make a decent high country!!!

Whew beer is good;).

My point was supposed to read like this...

141 is not too short with a turrrrbo...stop

Riding a short track does not necessarily make you a ultra highly skilled sled ninja... There are madmen who do things with 155"+ track sleds that kill it and omg get this can even outride BCIL, whoaaa ;) stop

Ride what is fun and what you like... Stop

I agree that more offerings from 141-146 would be great for the mtn segment and that the nimbleness is better which makes them really fun!
Focker Out

Oh, I wasn't really trying to rebut your post aside from the first sentence.

btw... nobody outrides me on a 155... nobody. well... aside from that one guy, and those guys, and that group over there... hmm, and all those guys...:face-icon-small-con

I'm getting a 121" with 3" paddles and supercharging it this April 1st.
.and btw Nobody can outride me on my 155, Nobody! But that's cuz I won't let anybody else drive it:P

Sleds!!!

Who gives a crap!!!!!!!!! Ride what you want! All of them are fun, heck even my nytro was fun! Ride your short track and upgrade if you need to! The only reason I ride a 162 is I am to fat for a 144 :)!!!!!!!!! I enjoy riding my short track x-fire but most of the time I stick with the long track Polaris.

They are all fun. Go ride the short track and have a blast!!
