BCIL has his track off the ground most of the time (jumping)....unless you're wired the same way, dont use that as a comparison....
Actually... if all I cared about was jumping I'd have a 153 or 156 again. I can keep a longer track straight farther, the shorter track seems to get sideways on me too easily for ME to go much past 100some feet. The 153 almost never went sideways.
I ride the 141 for the fun & for the control. I can pop it up anywhere I want, and make as tight a turn as I want... it's just something most folks won't get until they ride a current shorter track.
That said, Dakota is on a 700 where the lowest powered 141 I've ridden was a 1000 with mods, and he's pretty stock, where both of mine had a bunch of weight taken off.
I ride with guys with 153 & 160+ tracks all the time, and have never had a place they could go that I couldn't... you just have to get there faster & think ahead.
OBVIOUSLY that takes practice. Your first month (and due to baseless crap snow we always have early season) you will hate it, but you'll get used to it pretty quick.
If you're riding with me, I'll be happy to share any tips & suspension setup advice I can muster! If you're struggling, learning to keep the skis down in the deep is a huge thing. The one pull I saw FCR do on mine reminded me just how different it really is, but you can adjust the skid to bring them down, I just like riding on the last 3" of the track.
I just listed my 11 Dakota... just get it over with & buy THE 141, you know you want it!!!
