14 Pro, cutting out, intermittent

More info. What did they do?

Test ran it on a stand multiple times over 70mph. 70 to 0, several times in a row. Got the brake rotor so hot it melted the speed sensor behind the rotor, melted my quick drive belt and burnt up the pads/rotor. Rotor looks like its been red hot.
Its not going good. If they dont change their minds I will post the full story and all the pics. Eric

dealer?

Just curious about what kind of dealer would think this is a good way to test the sled? Without going into bashing them, was the dealer on the wyo or idaho side of teton pass?? :face-icon-small-con

Really?! Got data for that?

NO, Just the word of a well respected Peer and fellow SnoWest'r. Which I trust, as everything he posts is very well thought out and verified by himself and others. His stuff flat works and that is good enough for me. If you don't believe me, so be it.

If you want your sled to run the best it possibly can, keep the coolant temp between 98* and 127*, FWIW

Many companies have stated the same about polaris.

Engine tech claims the etec starts pulling timing at 140F so it would make sense that polaris does it aswell.

I bet you can run a Poo with good fuel well over 145* without any timing pulled.

Doo stats open 20* earlier than Poo - coincidence?

From what I have read it depends on engine temp, pipe temp and throttle position (may be more variables that are part of detonation protection). Worst case scenario is most likely 127f, I think that is where the number came from.
