1200 Turbo questions

I dropped my sled off to OVS and Garr kinda worried me about the bottom end on the 1200s. He said they used to make good low end power and no top (which is why my 1000 and others were smoking Brad's 1200) and then when they got the port timing etc down they got the top but they set them up laggy to keep belt life up. This worried me for the riding we do. Anyone run the OVS 1200 kit with the 3076 care to comment about low end performance for climbing and boondocking? I have only ridden one 1200 and it was a D&D BD setup and it had amazing low end compared to my 1k but I felt like my 1k had more up top. Thought with the Tial 3076 and the fatty turbo pipe I would be getting the best of both worlds. Worried about getting out of the throttle and back in when climbing chutes if its gonna be laggy. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Call Kevin @ KMOD he knows how to set up the 1200's. Last year it seemed like he out ran OVS's 1200 almost every race at fairview. Eric at the Racin Station has a very good set up as well. 208-354-2777

Andrew that setup is not laggy, its not short on power, I have had guys ride it that are riding 800 turbos and it scares them on the performance. get it together and ride it before you get worried.

Just worried about the in and out of the throttle when the crap goes bad in a tight spot or a chute. I will just try it and see. I have a 3071 with a billet wheel I want to try on it anyway

Ohhhhhhhhhh boy is that thing not laggy. When I would throw a leg over it, I used to complain that it was too hard hitting..........he just laughed at me!

I would say definitely run his clutching and gear ratio setup.......it was the bomb!

if your not running a 4 wieght primary get one, 60/60 gearing is a great all around setup if you want higher speeds you can gear up, but it is snappy.
