So I'm on number 3 maybe 4 TPS sensor and can't keep the thing in adjustment. just wondering if anyone out there has had similar problems and if they have any ideas I can try I have tried two different dealers and haven't made much headway

So what's it doing? Won't idle ,cuts out ! Misses? Just replace mine for the first time On an 11

Replaced one last year on my '12. It tested very weird. Tested bad one time out of probably 30. Replaced it, fixed... Two more trips on it last year after that, no problems. First trip this year, had 3-4 stumbles that resembled TPS in 140 miles.

You need to go in and manually check/adjust the tps. Doing it with digital wrench wont cut it, and likely what the dealers are doing.

Whats it doing or not doing?

I'm having an issue where it idles high at 2500rpm. My TPS settings are bang, and I've tried 2 different tps sensors

Check for air leaks, it could be sucking air in somewhere and leaning it out which raises the idle.

Yes it's doing all of those things first started by cutting out when ever I would pin it. Then took it in to get fixed they put another new one in and it ran good for 20 miles or so then wouldn't idol I rode it like that for another 20 to 30 miles that day and it started to idol again and ten miles later acts like nothing is wrong. But all this could be different day to day

I have just been thru this issue and may still be looking for a solution to this as on my 12 pro 163 there was what seemed to be an intermittent bog like the TPS was faulty, dealer checked it and said that the TPS was faulty from getting wet and that when he replaced it and checked it out there was a problem with the wiring harness that had also gotten wet and corroded. We replaced the harness and seems to have repaired the problem. There is a procedure to test the harness with a (known good TPS) by using a rubber band and a block under the thumb throttle to hold the TPS in a fixed position and then while watching the voltage from the TPS, start moving/wiggling the harness over the whole sled and look for the voltage to change or just go away. This problem has surfaced because there is a open connector in the harness that factory uses (probably to set the TPS voltage or something else) and then they did not put a rubber plug in the open harness in 11 and 12 years. This plug is available from Polaris and should be put in the open 4 pin plug in the harness to stop water from entering and causing this problem. I have an 11 pro and also 12 pro and this issue has been addressed and seems to have fixed the problem for now at least

Any idea what the part number is for this plug? My dealer is clueless on stuff like this.

I just ran back over to my dealer (6 blocks away) and got the number and it is a dealer only number because I could not find my invoice and I could not find it in any Polaris parts breakdowns but it is a real number and I saw the sack that the parts were in (20 at a time) and they are about $14 each. The number is 4014243 and you cannot put it in the wrong place and if you look at a 2014 or 15 sled this plug cover is in place and can be removed. It is a 4 pin plug coming from the harness and is open on the 11 and 12 800 Pros not sure about 13 models but I did look at a 14 and 15 to confirm this and my 11 and 12 now have these plug covers on them and I did take the precaution and taped up a couple of other open plugs coming off the harness with silica-gel packets in them to help keep them dry. I am surprised that the dealers are not aware as my dealer is aware of this issue and knew what needed to be done to fix it. If you look at a 15, you will also notice there are two other wrap around velcro covers that are not on previous machines that cover exposed wire junctions where there plug/socket combinations and Polaris must have thought that they needed to be protected from the elements, one of these is about $7 and the other is about $5 and I have them on order to put on my machines just to CMA..
