no i was riding baker justin bd or silber

If you ease into it does it go into det? Sounds like its just over reving right off the throttle snap. Something else to check is make sure the motors not tourqing and hitting The chassis. I'm not familiar with bd set up, but my silber would actually tourq enough to contact the bulkhead and that vibration would instantly set it into det mode

it hits the sensor at different stages i read ur post and its sounds alot like the same thing is happening as your silber kit did something simple just finding what it bd and silber are about the same just diff control boxes

What did you end up doing to fix the bulkhead contact issue?

Same issues, this weekend in Togwotee

I have the non-intercooled BD turbo. Nearly 500 miles on the kit. I noticed a few things. DET and hitting the Rev limiter happens no matter how much boost I am running. 70gms of primary clutch weight, can't hold the throttle wide open. Additionally, the sled won't stay running at cold start-ups without giving it some throttle. Helix, I believe, at 46 (shallow position).
I am thinking it is a combo of too shallow helix, not enough clutch weight, bad plugs (worn electrode) and a faulty TPS. I should know more on Monday.

Are you over revving? 70 grams seems quite light. I was over revving with 72 grams and lower boost numbers at 10k' on my silber pro. Did you have idle issues before the install?

riding 8500-10500', 70gms seems a bit low

Yes, the 70gms seems a bit low. It was what my installer and BD recommended. That said, my close friend is running Silber's kit with 4lbs more of boost with 72gms of clutch weight. No, the low idle issue is new.

Is his silber kit a 2011 kit or 2012 kit. Seems like the 12's are pulling more weight from what I've read with the CAI. I'm at about 77grams and thats about right for 9-10psi for me at 10k'(2012 kit). With 72g I was way over revving, pulls a lot better loading it too!!!

My sleds actually idling better since I put the turbo on so not sure what to say there.

Turbo Seahawk,

To bad I didnt see you up there yesterday. I have a 2012 with the intercooled BD kit and I finally got it running right. Running 50/50 sunoco/92. boost is at 8lbs @ sealevel. make sure you tighten your plugs after det, mine would back out if I hit it a couple times. Went through 4 sets before I got it dialed in. 72g weights and team spring (dont know wich one, i will find out). Dan @ Skagit Polaris did the install, and got it pretty close to dialed in before I went up.

I (sweetxpbeatch's buddy with the silber kit) have the 2012 kit, I am over revving a bit on the throttle stab, but I believe this will be taken care of when I change the helix to the steeper start. I think he just needs a bit more weight 2g at the most and then make sure the helix is at its steepest, so it loads the motor more. His spark plug ground was opened 3 times the gap it should have been, we thought that was very unusual.

My bolt head is ground down and not contacting the bulkhead, the airbox tab itself was last time I checked. I'm away from my sled for a few days and need to check if its still touching. I'm not to fond of trimming my bulkhead so I'm going to try and come up with something else.

Goodluck on getting it running and let us know what it was!
