Who is into all the hype??
There is already scientific evidence that shows on 12/21/2012 the sun and earth will align with the milky way. The last time this happened some many thousand years ago the earth shifted off of its axis (according to scientists). It is inevitable that we shall see what happens.
I do know that when and if I wake up on 12/21/2012 and everything is relatively the same and the day goes well. I will be so happy I might tie one on, and I don't drink.
yea well when i was a kid they told me by the year 2000 we would be driving hovercrafts and riding around on jetpacks.

I always thought a magnetic shift in the poles is due to plate tectonics and not some random date or line up. Is there some mystical property when things fall in line? The last time "they" got all excited was when the planets lined up...I believe it was called the Jupiter effect...still here! These prognosticators didn't understand plate tectonics nor did they understand what a galaxy is and our place in it. The center and our planet lining up with it is also somewhat suspect. What about galactic oscillation? No way is this a perfect "line up" . This is another attempt at someone making money off some hokey Indian calender BS. If I'm wrong I'll eat my own shorts the next day.

reminds me of my granddaughter if you bug her she will ask you to "go away please" pleasantly rude!!!!the earth reverses its magnetic poles about every three hundred thousand years, no big deal. just have to buy a new compass, or bust out a magic marker!
