11 turbo devastation!

Sorry for your trouble, but thats awesome :face-icon-small-hap I have a pison/rod exactly llike that hanging in my shop. I actually spit some of my sandwich on the keyboard when I saw the first pic. :face-icon-small-ton In my case it was a lower rod bearing that failed.

Well to give a little more back ground that crank was in this sled originally and what happened before is the vacuum line on the charge side or turbo was unhooked from the control box so the previous owner didn't know and had been riding it thinking it was set on 7 lbs of boost when it actually was way more and blew it up, so not sure if it already had a some what fractured rod and it decided it was done or if a skirt broke, too hard to really tell as the rod hit lots of stuff!

My bet is the lower rod bearing locked up. I had a triple do that with Titanium rods. It made it a two and a half cylinder instantly.
One for the "Wall of Shame", for sure! Before my first marriage, I had quite the collection of high dollar carnage!
