10.4 Driven Clutch

Will the 10.4 Secondary fit on my 2006 M7 without any modifications? Kinda tight putting belt on with the stock 10.0 secondary.......wondering if a person would just pull secondary off to change belt with the 10.4 clutch on the M7?

I have a 10.4 on my '06 M7, and yeah the belt is kinda tight on there. I got the belt removal bushing thing that comes on the newer sleds. It keeps the secondary spread while you tryand tug that bastard out of there. I had the part number for it somewhere but can't find it. Its like a $16 part, totally worth it. You'll like the tourqe gain of the 10.4!!

I'm running 10.4" secondary also in my CF 7 SP -06. Get rid off the secondary plastic adjuster sh*t and replace it with bolt and aluminum piece used in -09 cat. After that you can remove your belt by taking out the bolt and after that whole secondary WITH the belt. Way more easier and faster way than trying to put belt on when secondary is bolted in to sled. Installing the belt goes opposite way: put belt on secondary, put secondary into sled and bolt on. Takes about 20 sec to do.

Like Bearcat said only on my 05 M7 I used a BDX adjuster. The 05 had left hand threads. Not sure on the '06. 07 & up are right hand. You may need to use BDX kit rather than newer Cat adjuster due to the threads being left handed. Check before you buy.

That new cat adjuster doesn't use secondary threads at all. It only uses longer bolt in the middle which attach directly into gear shaft. So it works both cases (left and right handed). Pulling secondary from the sled needs only open the bolt and take secondary out. Simple :)
