'09 M8 question, looking for some advise

Ok, I need a little helpful advise here, I have been running factory Cat mod sleds for a few yrs (05 800 SX, 03 730 SX, 600 SX,) etc until this yr when I bought an '09 M8 HCR. My question is, I plan to run a lightweight hood with no headlight but DO plan to run the gauge and a Racepac Avenger on the bars. I have added a Speedwerx ceramic single, V-Force III's, mod airbox, high comp head and a few other things. What, if anything, do I need to be concerned about by running no headlights? Should I install one of the resistor kits even though I plan to run a gauge? I know you guys have been doing this and would appreciate a little insight

pretty sure all m's 07 & up don't need the resistor.
i am sure plenty of peeps here will give you more input on this

you won't need a resister on a 09 i run no headlights on mine and never had a problem.
it's the pre 07 that need the resister.
