09 m8 clutching with slp pipe kit

Thanks guys. I really just wanna see 8000 on the tach to truly know im there cause i mean right now, the sled is pretty clean and crisp, besides every once in awhile after a couple pulls ill put the hammer down and get a terrible bog i have to pump the throttle to work outta the system, have no idea whats causing that. But anyway im comparing my setup to my dads stock 08 M8 that only has gotten 75g wieghts for a mod and his will usually out do mine in most climbs.

Sorry big hoe about leaving unanswered ?'s you responded before I had a chance. On my sled 7900 gave me a little more than the targeted 8000, I've heard AC tach's are not always spot on and can vary 100 to 200.

I just bought a 09 m8 Camo and was thinking about installing the SLP single. does everyone think its a worthwhile mod? . i like the way the sled runs now and was considering just a can. Ive ran SLP pipes on all my previous sleds and had good luck.
I just dont want to spend more time dialing it in and screwing around when i should be riding.

thanks everyone

Bumping this thread, ? 6000-9000 elevation cluthching. Sounds like it likes a heavier finish rate on the primary spring, was wondering if T-2 weights (71.5g light tipped) would work with a 125/340 primary spring and stock 36degree helix.

what weights would you guys recommend with the slp pipe on an 09 xfire 800 at 0-3000 and what weights for 4-7000 ft riding. I just want to use stock cat weights, i saw around 8000 on my analog tach the other day with the stock cat 0-3000 weights in. ( i dont know what they are) but they should be fine right? I havent rode my sled with my slp yet so i dont really know what to expect.

I'm running slp pipe and airbox at 8-10,000' this weekend I have a slp black pink (120-340) 68g cat wgts stock sec only saw 7850-7900 in a climb and 7950-8000 on the trail does cat make 66g wgts? Need 200 more rpm I also have shift asst in sec.

I plan to buy a SLP primary spring too. Either the black/pink 120/340 or the blue/pink 140/340 to go with my new Cutler adjustable weights.

I love to load the motor to squeeze all the power I can from it. By using a higher total force spring I can throw more weight at the primary thus loading the motor more heavily.

Right now with my fairly stock setup with the cat yellow/white spring I'm pulling 8,100 with 73 gram cat weights at about 5,500 feet. I do have a 42/36SLP helix with a shift assist and the stock orange secondary spring.
