Doing the same thing on the same year sled as yours except my gears are still on order. I ordered the new double row bearing from BDX that eliminates the spacer. No more single row for me. Only bad part is I had to order it direct from BDX and paid retail. Still worth it though

Cheapest I could find the 5203 anywhere else was about $35. BD was $20 shipped.

The bearings come off quite easily but the best thing to do is to install new ones.

Can you tell me if the bearing is a sealed unit and if it measures 17x40x17.5 ?
