09 M1000/CF1000 service bulletin

For the 2008 m1000 there was an update for the ECU last spring. Was there any timing curve change? I didnt get it done because i finally got my boondocker tuned correctly and didnt want to have to re tune it. What are peoples findings that did the reflash? Did it help or did it just make the machine more environmentaly friendly sacrificing power? I heard made the sled richer bottom end. Whats the benefit?

I got my 08 done and my dad got his 07 done on the reflash last year, and it gave them both noticably more power and less loading up at low end and mid range. Only did 1 trip to the moutains and some running around home after the reflash, but no complaints at all.

I didn't have any melting issues with my 08, but I make sure to clean any snow off the hood right away so the screens are clear and air can flow through.

in my opinion dont do it it made it really rich on the bottom i had the 07 mapping and i miss it i did get it reflashed to an 08 map which works alright the big thing is not to hold it in the mid too long vary the throttle if you have the 07 map

Can't you have it remapped to 07?

Arctic Cat Service Bulletin #SB200904 or #SB200905 depending on 2007 or 2008 model. The dealer needs the CATT Tool and the heat shield update kit to do the trick.

hate to bust in on the mapping Q&A but my 1000 also melted many parts including insulation blankets and some of the small tabs on the hood. the 2010 has different insulation, more tape, and a completely different heat shield around the oil bottle...awesome!
