Found a killer deal for a '09 HCR new for $8000. Any comments from you guys that have some experience on them last year? Was really looking for a
'09 M8 SP 162 but this deal may be to good to pass up. Has it turned out to be a good sled for boondocking and powder? Most of my riding is on the Grand Mesa in CO. Comments?

Hey i have a 09 HCR and it is by far the best sled i have owned, for that price BUY IT!!!! You will be happy with it for sure. I love my HCR before i had a 07 M8 with lots of mods and the HCR is pretty much stock and it is like night and day compared to my old 07. Thanks :beer;

I just purchased a 80 duro 153 for my Poo 800. Are you happy with the 90 duro?

Yes i love the 90duro, but i have not tried the 80duro yet. The hook up on hard is awesome and in the mountains in the pow it was great to everybody says it was bad going down hill with the 90 but i didn't think so at all, had good control going down hill through the trees.:beer;

Didn't they have a couple recalls or specific break in procedures on the HCR's due to tight clearance between the pistons and cylinders on these sleds?

Something to look into. I personally would pull the pipe off and look at the exhaust port side of each piston prior to purchasing. If they are scuffed you might want to resolve that proir to dumping the cash.

I bought an 09 HCR last spring and I absolutley love it. It might be the funnest sled I've ever owned. I did put a SLP single pipe on it and it really woke it up. It was kind of doggy out of the hole. I went from a 2002 ported RMK(it ripped) to a 2006 supercharged apex(it really ripped) to this 09 HCR. I love this cat.

if you pass on the hcr please pass along the info where it is at. currently looking for an hcr or an 09 m8 sno pro 153 left over. ski

Love my HCR. No special break-in procedures that I'm aware of. I read through the entire manual and the service manual... Same as a standard M8 for break-in.

Personally, I prefer the titanium shock springs over pure float shocks.

Mine is stock so far and it is the best sled that I've owned. I've had 05 M7, 07 M8, and a 08 Summit XP.

I X2 everything you just said chuck:D:D:beer;

I've ridden the HCR. They RIP!!! Awesome sleds.

There was an issue with them squeaking pistons during break in last year. Factory put out a bulletin for a special break in procedure for them. Worth checking piston skirts before buying a used one.
