'09 Front End Swap

I think this was briefly discussed, but I couldn't find it. After watching some reviews, one of the Poo engineers said that the new "drag link" sway bar typicaly of the short track Dragon instantly engages, thus eliminating some slight roll initially felt by the older IQ's. Having that thought in my head, I can really feel what he's talking about with my Switcher. When turning, she has some initial roll feel, similar to a race sled with no sway bar.

Has anyone done this front end swap out? It appears that you'd need at least the lower A-arms, possibly upper ones too, sway bar and sway bar links. While I'm at it, might as well do the spindles too. Any insight would be very helpful!

Don't know about the switch, did a 08 rmk nose, no suspension changes.Race car scales prior to work= 555lbs, after 549lbs. Would need new lower a-arms, links and sway bar for conversion, the mounts for the sway bar are on the new bumper mounts.

Brilliant work, the new front bumper and plastic look much cleaner. Did the new tubular bumper bolt up to the bulkhead or did you have to do a bunch of mods?

If your going to switch your 08 or older I/Q to the 09 sway bar you will also have to use the 09 front plastic as well. There is not enough room for the sway bar with the older plastic.

i just wanted to inform you incase you dont already know..you should NOT have the radiator install anyways..

get rid of it asap..your sled will run cooler without it..get the SLP kit, and a good set of ice scratchers..

i run 125 degrees in the powder, and about 150 MAX on the trail..

its very simpler..do NOT loop the hoses..there is alot of threads on this..

Offset Spindles

Now all you need is some offset spindles to narrow it up. I would contact Charlie at Mtnsideproducts.com I think he can set you up with a pair of spindles that will narrow you up 2" and give you better steering leverage...just saying...charlie
