Alright after doing some lower elevation riding (1500 feet) in very fresh deep fresh snow one of my clutch vents popped in and the clutch area took on some snow. I was unaware and went to hammer on the throttle to climb out and my sled locked up. After removing my panel my primary was locked all the way open and one weight was stuck holding it that way. I was able to tap the weight with my plug wrench and it snapped back into the normal position, when i started the sled back up there was a horrible grind noise for about 5 seconds while trying to engage and then it was fine. This happened two more times while riding the sled home and only during or near wide open throttle.
That night i let my sled thaw out in the heated shop hoping it was just some moisture/ice in the clutch. I pulled the weights to ensure the bushings were not ruined(1500 miles on then) but they looked fine as did the bolts. I also inspected the roller surface on the weights and they did not seam to be excessively worn. I started it up in the morning to test ride and the clutch stuck open again the first time during wide open throttle. I rode the rest of the day pulling long hard WOT climbs and all other sorts of riding with no issues but did notice it sticking slightly when coming to a stop. The sled would not completely come to a halt a few times when i let off the throttle and it died once while i was coming to a stop because it must of been sticking.
At the start of the season i replaced the spring as well as all of the fiber bushings because it had slight play. Does anyone have an idea of what i should be looking for when i pull the clutch? I don't plan on riding the sled until this issue is fixed.
Thanks for your time
