08 rmk 700 busted exhuast valve bolt

had an exhaust valve bolt come loose and it caused the other bolt to snap off.while drilling the bolt out to get a easy out in it, i drilled through the water jacket.i finally got the bolt out,if i locktite a stud instead of a bolt will it leak????? any thoughts welcome.

I would make sure the loctite is the special kind for aluminium to steel to ensure it bonds properly. I would probably try the $1 stud and the $10 loctite before I spent 375 on a new pot. Just take it for a local ride and keep an eye on it for the next few hundred miles, I wouldnt be scared!

I know some one who shot a rock through their cooler and they JB welded a self taping metal screw into the hole and its been good for years.

thanks man.we put it back together yesterday and it runs like a raped ape.no leaks.just used blue loctite and its all good!
