Have a 08 Nytro with MCX turbo. Wondering how high of boost you can run on premium fuel at 6500-7000 feet. I am running 12 psi at 2500 feet and the higher I got the higher the boost numbers, up to 14 psi at 7000. Ran 3/4 throttle on big climbs so I would not hit 14 psi. Is this supposed to happen or should it run 12 everywhere?

Thanks

Your mcx system is working perfectly. It works off total atmospheric pressure (like planes) As long as you have fresh premium fuel (92-94) your super safe at 14lbs. Hold to the boards bud!....and hang on! lol :beer;

If you are concerned, go down to your local airport and buy some 100ll av gas and throw throw in a gallon or two with your pump fuel.
Safe sledd'n! KL

Like Ken said - not to worry ----- as you get higher the atmospheric pressure drops thereby creating a LARGER differential pressure number.
There is no more Boost !!!!!! just less outside air pressure :face-icon-small-win
The problem is we measure boost based on a ever changing atmospheric pressure instead of absolute pressure. There is no change in your engines power output at all.
