08 Dragon Fix kit

But why get rid of it???? The fix kit does not fix the lean spot in the mid range correct???? Yes it fixes the piston slap but doesn't adjust the fuel curve at all. So why not run the fix kit with the PCV with a SLP map?

Question like this might be directed to MTNTK guys directly - by PM or by phoning 1-208-652-0122. These guys are SUPER friendly (we are customers, eeh?)

So I just bought a 2008 Dragon 800 with 2900 miles and found out the engine problems with this era sled after I bought it. My roommate informed me of the problems and I went to Kurt's Polaris here in Missoula and was quoted about$1400 for the parts and labor. My main question is, is this a reasonable price?

I have been doing some reading on here and it seems like people are quite pleased with the MTNTK fix kit and that is a lot cheaper price wise and more affordable for me

What are your thoughts?

its about $750 for the kit and gaskets plus tax if i recall. labor is free if you can do it. their instructions are good but make sure and pay close attention to the ring gap.
