for those of you with a gauge that always reads empty theres a fuse located behind the air box you should check , here a quick how to get to it
step one , remove belt guard and find the tab that holds the air intake onto the box ( see the finger )
step two: push the tab up towards the console until it comes loose of the airbox
step three: notice the second tab on the carb side tucked away by the secondary (see finger)
while pushing the tab towards the carbs pull on the air box as shown
should slide right out as shown
once you have the air box out of the way the fuse is hidden behind the wire conduit simply pull it back to expose the fuse
and waaa laaaa here you have it
hope this help for those that have a dead fuel gauge, or just want to know how to get the air box off :righton
