i have an 07 xrs with the 151 that is pulling about 7500rpms pinned. im new to the sport but i would like to be around 8150. also my clutch doesnt engage until high in the r's which makes the sled feel really boggy of the start. any suggestions would be appreciated.

07 likes 83-8400

what clicker is the primary set on?3 bolt heads with #s if on 1 loosen nut just enough to turn bolt, line up the # with marker line each # is approx 200 rpm.all three have to be on same setting.
DO NOT TAKE BOLT OUT TO TURN.washer falls off and down, now your pulling pri apart.

if on 3 adj to#4should be around 8350.perfect on a hard pull not flat land.

or adj pin wht in primary.

buy a puller, primary bar holds primary when loosening and installing and clips to hold pucks.3 cans brakleen

rooster built has a killer clutch set up for the 07.sure he will post on here

high rpm on engagement is a heavier spring.should be around39-4100 engagement.

if you have adj pin weights take all the weight screws out put clicker on 1.

if to much rpm add a gram.

ideal 4100 engage 8350 on a good pull.

i could be wrong but not by much

i got o7 x 163 no pin wt and pull83=8400 on a pull #3 4000 engage

a dirty clutch is like a well nevermind cant say that this is snowest.

pull clean inspect arms, bushings, rollers, ramps for scoreing, all should move freely dry.side to side up and down you know..02

Some advice for novice tuner.

You should at least have the tools to take apart the primary and secondary clutch yourself because it only takes about 10 minutes to on each clutch if you have the tools (puller / clutch hold tool / button holding forks / Clutch tool holder)

Take apart the clutches and find out what parts you have installed.
Get the bushings measured to see if near the wear limit and replace parts necessary. Also check up on the drive belt.

When you have the primary apart you can measure the length of the pins and unscrew out the setscrews (if any) and will be able to know how much flyweight you have. Flyweight legend illustration for 2 typical BRP flyweight pins.
