07 RMK 600 h.o. bogging

I finally got to ride my sled after I bought it used and went through the whole thing.

new boots , cleaned exhaust valves, carbs are good. sled ran fantastic, very pleased with the overall performance.

but when I was playing in the trees and wasn't able to open it up frequently... or sitting idle for more than 30 seconds I would run into some bogging / loading up, until I could get the rpms up high to clean it out.. then it ran awesome again.

air box is clean, new reeds... all I can think it would be is the jetting. I'm running in wisconsin and the u.p. so I'm not high altitude wise.

jets are stock... and it has a snow stuff can on it. any thoughts? jetting? timing?

Mine did the same thing when I first got it, ended up going one or two sizes? smaller on the pilot jets. Hated re-jetting that sled, ended up going with a vario flow and egt gage, works very well now.

pilots

Try 45 or 40 pilots, fuel screw 1 turn out, can open or close as needed. Make sure some play in choke lever. they come stock with 50 pilots, I also run bigger pilot air jets, .6 stock larger # more air, .7 in mine and 45 pilots, at least you have snow!!! good luck

I have the same sled and am having the same issues in the same area. I put the 40 pilot in and that helped a lot, but still right off the line after idle there is what seems like a... Stutter, maybe i need the .9 airjets everyone is talking about too?

so you think its best to go the trial and error route with different size jets... or go with a variable option? how do those work? computer? are they expensive?

40 pilot jets
.9 pilot air jets which should be in there
400 mains
needles #2 from top
And make sure you run good clean fuel. . .

No i would for sure put a 40 pilot in. It used to just bog when i was at idle, the grabbed a handful. Now it jumps up, but sort of stutters, i dont know if that could be it still rich? I feel it should be more responsive, but i only did some yard riding to test it out. Any opinions?

Repsol83 after you change out the pilot jets, you should be able to fine tune the bottom end with the fuel screw. When you get your jetting right for the lowest elevation and coldest temp you want to ride at, the Vario flow lets you lean out the whole system as required.

What MARV1 said except 390 mains. PM me for a kickass clutch setup for the UP

You may not totally get rid of burble, but should make a big difference. Marv knows his stuff and has all the snow that should be in the lower states1 just kidden

I guess I'll put in the .9 air jet too..

When you say two from top for the clip, is that two blank spaces, then clip, so the third position? Or just the second position?

Will post back tomorrow with results.

#2 from top is just that, middle is stock. It will run much better with jetting I said. 390's are safe as well.
