07 rev 800 summit holes?

So I just bought this used 2007 rev 800 151 and near the front of the rear suspention ( where the ice scratchers go) there are 4 holes there. On skidoo's web site they show that there are supost to be wheels (one on each side)there. So are they suppost to be there or was it modded for some kind of performance inhancing mod? or do you even need those wheels. Also How often do you need to replace the highfaxes on the sled because it has 400miles on it right now. also how can you tell that you need new highfaxes
Thank you

My wheels are gone. They come with them. It is to reduce wear on the sliders.
To see if you need new sliders, you can look on the sides and see a little protrusion running the length of the sliders. When they are worn to that spot, that is when you have to replace them.

You can see this by looking at the back of the skid.

Mine lasts at least a season and a half... that is with some gravel work too.. LOL

So whats the use of those wheels? And what happends if i don't have them on? Because on the new xp summit they don't have those wheels either. So is there a plus or minus to not having those wheels besides less weight?

It is Ok to remove those idlers if you ride nothing but powder, but if you spend even a little time on hard pack roads you will see the hyfax wear very quickly. They are removed for weight loss or as a mounting location for ice scratchers.

sounds like yyou bought my old one is it grey? i took front idler wheels off and installed some ice clickers on it then ended up getting an xp. you dont need the front wheels as long as you are running scratchers for the hard pack. however you do want to make sure you have good play in your track. everyone always tells me you should be able to stick 2 or 3 fingers between the track and rails ....... i have my other idler wheels if ya think you want em
