07 M8 loading up at idle?

07 M8 with SLP pipe kit, BDX intake and Attitude control box,

Went for a ride this weeknd and noticed my sled would load up alot at idle!! Would go to take off and it would just be boggy for 50-100 feet then clear up? It has not done this in the past? Only thing i did before the ride was seal up my intake alittle better and seal up the exhaust with som RVT cause i had a leak around the gasket from the pipe to can! It has always done it down low in my garage when i let it idle but not on the hill? I checked the oil pump for sticking but all seems good! I have never done a fuel pressure test? Not sure how to go about it on this sled? Any help on that would be great.

The plugs are new! Just started to do it after i sealed up the the intake a little better and exhaust! I also changed my belt but i dont think that would do it? I could be wrong!

Just wondering i kinda had the same problem last year i cleaned my intake pods on my timbersled intake and its gone so far, also could it maybe be running a little rich on the bottom due to the controller?

Im starting to wonder about the controler also! It wont go any lower!! But the weird thing was it never did it before? When i ride next weekend im going to swap out my new belt for the old one and try that first! And then unplug the controler if that does not fix it! My belt is sitting just above the sheves! Right where the cooling cogs on top stop!

Ya your fuel pressure could be a bit high for his settings, has it been happening when re-starting or all the time? I am not too sure how the bdx intake is designed but regular cleaning of the timbersled is pretty important IMO.

if you just changed belt then its the belt deflection..improper deflection is the MAJOR OCCURANCE of LOW END BOG.....i would bet my last nickel here

the belt height on the sheaves of the secondary is generally 1/8 but remember the belt deflection is the paramount measurement and it supercedes any secondary belt height

DRIVE BELT DEFLECTION
Drive belt length, condition, and deflection are all
important for peak performance. To check and adjust
drive belt deflection, use the following procedure.
1. Turn the engine off; then open the belt guard.
2. Make sure the drive belt is sitting at the top of the
driven pulley sheaves.
3. Place a straightedge on top of the drive belt. The
straightedge should reach from the drive clutch to
the top of the driven pulley.
4. Using a stiff ruler centered between the drive
clutch and driven pulley, push down on the drive
belt just enough to remove all slack. Note the
amount of deflection on the ruler at the bottom of
the straightedge. The deflection should be at
31 mm (1 1/4 in.).
741-464A
NOTE: Push down on the belt with the ruler only
until the bottom of the belt flexes upward; then
read the amount of deflection.
5. To correct drive belt deflection, remove the sheave
adjuster from the pulley, remove or add shim
washers to the adjuster, and install the adjuster.
NOTE: Adding shim washers will decrease belt
deflection; removing shim washers will increase
belt deflection.
NOTE: If the drive belt deflection is above specifications,
the snowmobile will bog and lack power at
clutch engagement. For good performance, proper
belt deflection is critical.
6. Close the access panel.

Thanks m8magicandmystery......

I wil check everything when i get home. I hope thats all it is!!

I think if it were your belt, it would be consistent throughout the powerband. Not just low end..

Does anyone know what would cause the reeds to chip.

I also just put on the slp with the bdx intake on a 07 m8 and I am also loading but only on the mag side. While doing the upgrades i changed plugs and did notice my mag side plugs were darker than the pto.

It is your new air intake. Switch back to stock and it will go away. I personally just live with it. Once you get a little fresh air moving no big deal. Also had some vents to get some of the hot air out.

Im sure i have more then enough vents! Side panels,Nose,Big hood,Gage cage,Belly vents!! Anymore and i should run no hood!!
