07 diamond drive better to rebuild or replace entire unit???

well after 4,003 miles my dd went tits, just grinds when you try and go and the secondary will spin when the sled is not moving. guess i should be glad i got that many miles out of one! was wondering if you guys who have had yours redone are they worth rebuilding? can buy a complete unit from country cat for $1150. are they reliable after a rebuild? any better spot to get parts/ replacement unit??? am going to tear it down today, track is locked up so not to optimistic about what i'm gonna find... not interested in loosing reverse so the bde is not an option.

What went bad with yours? If it is just the gears, get the BDX gears, new bearings, and seals.

I know you want reverse, but bdx is really the failsafe way to go. Call Mike and ask him about a retrofit reverse, he's got to be close to figuring it out.
