06 Summit 600SDI Cutting-out

My Son's 600 cuts out at full throttle . It rides great while we are boon-docking,jumping but cuts-out when we are jamming across a lake and if you let up on it , it will cruise again until it's nearly at top speed then cut-out again. We changed the plugs just in case but no luck. Did not notice the speed or the tach when it cut-out. We also ran some Sea-foam in it since it sat with gas in it since last season.
Any ideas ?

These 06 SDI had a notorious problem with this. Usually its something to do with the fuel mapping I believe. Take it to your local BRP dealer and have em give it a check up.

Definately have it re-mapped.We had the same problem with ours that cured 90% of the problem.Ours runs better on 92 octane fuel also.They also had some problems with the throttle position sensor.

Thank you so much guys ( Bean813,Cookiecutter,Mr.Doo ) for your help. Will check into it tomorrow to see how much and when can I get it in. What does the re-mapping entail and why does this happen ? We wondered about the over-revving too , last year some of the time when he was climbing it would seem to have limited-out to quick and he would snap a belt. Have always told him about running the highest octane ( I never run less than 90 ....just like my old Saleen and it never failed me like 87 would ) and will reinforce that topic. Will check on that throttle position sensor as well. Thanks a ton !!! Will post again when I find out more.

Cookie is correct, its a mapping/DESS issue, have your dealer check it. Also have your timing checked.
