06 800 Summit X really rips but is this normal?

You should have bought mine!!!!!;)(I should have taken your offer;)) My '06 151x has one tooth lower on the top and does 78 mph. Stock it did 89 mph. The REV's don't like to idle too much on their side. Other than that, are you a REV MAN now:confused:

The jury is still outbut I'd say it's 80/20 I'm going to love the REV if I can get this top speed thing figured out.
Did you ever put your sled on KSL.com?

Had a '06 800 151X. That sled worked excellent out of the box. Went sledding with the guy I sold it to last week.It went everyplace and then some comparing it to our new 154xps stock. The 06 is an impresive sled.

Hey 1911Freak. Thanks for reminding me of that website. I just posted my ad;). Give the REV about four rides, than get on something else, and that 80/20 should go to about 100%. All the REVS I've ridden like the slides to be lifted a pinch during starting. Even when they are flooded, if you crack the throttle just enough to feel the cable get tight(and it's jetted good) she light up in one or two "ropes":)

Way different animal than the RMK, still wondering about a couple things.

Took it out again yesterday. On a freshly groomed trail I would jump to 65 mph instantly and then slowly pull to about 74 mph.:face-icon-small-dis Haven't cracked the chain case yet but it must be at least one tooth down on top gear. Seems like there is some kind of drag somewhere. Maybe it's normal on a REV.
Epic day, blues skies and 2 feet of powder. Climbed everything, this thing just keeps pulling. :D Had to work to keep the intake clear.
Another thing I did notice is that after a hard pull or a long run it would get boggy for the next few seconds. Running out of fuel?
Running at 9000 feet. What jetting are you guys running?

Right now it has the SLP kit that replaces the stock foam. I am thinking about installing the SLP cold intake.
Anybody have any expericene with this kit?

You need to put a "sock" over the long foam intake on the left side, local dealer should carry them...Enjoy

Thanks 'dooman. I already have that on. So you think I am goign rich due to reduced air intake. What are your thoughts on the SLP cold air intake kit?

my 151 x with 20/45 never hit no 85 mph..and if your sled was your speedo is lying to you.

I don't have an 06, but with my 04 159 and 19/47 gearing, I hit 80 mph and when it was 19/45, I was doing 90+ mph. I would never suggest anyone go to the 20 tooth top gear on these sleds, but that's just my opinion.

1911 - Have the rave valves been looked at lately?
