Ok I yesterday i got up and worked on this sled for a couple hours before going to work, then last night did some Christmas shopping after work till 9pm then went out to garage to work on buddy's sled. Well he came over and we pieced the broken front end plastic together pretty good, looks good for what had looked like had fell down a mine shaft or something ( What a crap design, all that useless plastic). Installed a Slp Rad removal kit. That looks like it makes more sense for sure. This sled would have been the photo on the left in the manual beside the photo on the right with "good" under it ( if you get what i mean). The previous owner/owners? just have never done nothing except use a tube of silicone to hold everything together and keep things from leaking. I spent hours previous to the last 30 hrs just cleaning up the mess. I installed the new oil inj. cable (factory one) Should have ordered the one recommended here (Finally seen pic of it after i got the factory one). Found the cut off piece of a zip/tie in read cage (yes inside) like about a 3.5" piece. Coolant hoses worn in every possible place with a couple of leaks. And yes these thing vibrate and wear everything out but i don't care what kind of sled it is they have to checked out regularly or your asking for trouble. :face-icon-small-fro
We worked on this sled all night to 4:30am this morning when we had it all but clutches on it i realized i had not checked them out and cleaned them up. I had been wrapped up trying to find some dam shocks to put on ( Must have phoned like 15 poo dealerships only found one). Well put primary in my Slp press and yes cover did not want to come off. You know it is all wore out!
Got cover off and spring came out in two pieces. Gave up at 5:30 am this morning couple zz's and off to work.

Ur a good friend - hope it all works out for ya.
Carl's Cycle sometimes has good deals on take off shocks for those things.
I have all 4 stock Ryde FX shocks for that sled (they're functioning OK) as well after Xmas will have 2 rear WE airs (practically new) wouldn't want much of anything for them if it helps.

Best Of Luck.

Little sidenote - HEY GuidoExpress - You still kicking I see???????

Indy Dan says 80 lbs is all you need on the clutch bolt.At 96 lbs it can stretch the bolt.Just make sure the pto end and the clutch taper are good and clean.
