05 Summit 1000 Needs quick advice

Need some help on some specs. What is the stock ride height on this sled? Can a 6' tall guy comfortabally ride standing on a stock set up or am I gonna be laying down flat.

What is the hp compared to the 800 of the same year?

All of the updates have been done and performed on this sled, has a toal of 1964 miles on it.
Comes with Simmons skis nut sure what else havent looked at it yet.

Can these sleds be trusted? The price is very fair like 2k and change under book fair.

Please let me know asao

In my opinion the 800 is far better. The 1000 has more power but way more weight. I have ridden both and I find the 800 to be a much better sled performance wise. Wait till you get that 1000 stuck. On the other hand the sled isnt junk and if the price is that good than it may be worth it, but be wary of why the price is that good.

im right at 6' and i took the old bar setup off.. and put a 5" rox riser and a 5" bend fly areo taper bar and its like perfect. with the stock set up your gonna be bent over a bit, which kills my back..the hp diffrence is quite a bit. the 1000's are suposed to be putting out like 170 175 stock, not quite sure on the 800's. but the torque is out of this world!

Im 6' as well, although I ride a 99 summit 670 the 6" riser's with 1.5" pivot adaptor and fly bars work perfect. I took the windshield off so bigger riser's than that would look funny, I would'a been able to get away with 8's. With the pivot adaptor it comes out to about 7.5"-8" which seems like alot but its perfect. The stock sucked and would hurt my back when I would stand up, I can't believe I put up with it all last year. The first thing ANYBODY should do when buying a sled is set themselfs up with the perfect riser's as not to hurt there backs and the quality of the ride. Just my opinion...

The newer sleds have adjustable riser's for everone but the older ones seemed to be built for little japanese people. Seemed like you would only be comfortable if you were 5'5" or shorter...

Thanks for the info guys. I cant find an 800 in the condition this one seems to be in for the price. Plus I am a bigger guy 220ish and have been riding an old arse powder special, and the other 2 sleds in my profile as well as an apex. I love the rider forward position and I really wanted to transition that route without sacrificing power and not spending too much as we will only be here 18 more months. If anyone has any other suggestions I am open minded.

Its very hard to find a rev 800 in your neck of the woods for less than 4500. If you can pick up a thousand for 2 g's then do it.Im guessing it's an 05. The 06s and 07's have a lot of goodies added and weigh less.

I'm 6'2" and run the Mahler 9.25 risers, I can stand straight and very comfy all the stock lines work as well.
Sounds like a hell of a good price as long as its in nice shape!
If you get it make sure you clean out the reeds/throttle bodies and put a set of Uni filters on!
