05 rmk 700 engine popping at idle..

My brother just got an 05 rmk 700 144.. it had just come back from the mountains so i rejetted it and put in different clutch weights. Now after he gets riding a little bit and he stops and the sled idles, there is a popping noise coming from the hood. I havent looked closely at the noise which i keep forgetting to do, so just wondering if anyone knows what this means?
