05 Rev 800 leaking lot's of oil out of silencer

I have an 05 rev 800. I just started it to move it last week. Once I got it started I noticed lots of oil running out of the silencer. It was reringed at 3000 miles and it now has 3400mi on it now. Not sure what's going on. It doesn't seem to be running rich plugs looked good all season when doing plug checks at full throttle. I know it's probably time for a new top end but not sure why it's getting all of this oil into the cylinders.

centre crank seals, that happen to my nephews, get a reman crank, top end has nothing to do with oil issue. hope this helps.

well before you tear into the sum ***** check your exaust valves. you probly have bad bellows that let the oil bipass into the cylinders and its blowing it out the can. or ur oil pump being turned up to much will also cause this.

Did you have your oil tank full?
If so it will drain oil in to the oil/water pump galley and when you start it it will pump that oil all over.

Or if the oil pump lever is stuck over

the little brass fittings on the carb side of your case where the oil goes in from your pump ,they have check valves in them that can hang open, letting oil leak into the cylinders .I had this with one that filled the cylinder over the summer. when I went to start it in the fall it " hydro locked" and bent a rod . they are replacable and not to pricey

I'll have to take a look at those brass fittings. That seems a little bit more likley. Since I really have only experienced this after the sled has set thru the off season. It has felt like it wanted to hydro lock on the first couple of pulls. Thankfully it didn't.

^ Jauwill, hope you found what you were looking for.. Deff sounds like the checkball is stuck or your oil lever is stuck open..
