05 M7 Efi Bog Out At 6800 Rpm!!!!

M7 Bog on deep snow

My 06 M7 is bogging in deep snow. Riveted a piece of Radiator hose on exhaust to help deflect snow, didn't help. Slowly looses R's and then acts like it drops a cylinder. After a while can get it to go again but never really runs strong. Drop it back on the road and it rips. Any ideas.

I have an 06 M7 and AZ there is those little nylon bushings in the throttle that wear out (That I seem to replace it about 3 times a year) it has that sensor that compensates if the throttle is stuck wide open and shuts down the motor. It just seems to make the throttle really sloppy and easy to get the position into that shut down mode. But like you said you can usually feather out of it. Mine does that same thing every time that bushing is worn out. And also check the throttle cable, I moved mine for the twins and it made everything run funky - It would rev up if the skiis were turned one way. I don't know if this helps but it is the cheapest option and a start.

Mine was running like crap in the Deep stuff this year too - I had the old side panels and they were letting mucho amounts of snow into the clutches. I duct taped up the sides and the part that meets the running boards - NO More Troubles. So I went and got the updated side panels with the metal clip on the bottom and everything has been great since!!!

Interesting...I have this problem on my wife's M7 EFI and was thinking between clutching and powervalves but for a moment I had wondered about a TPS issue. I'll have to look at that.

Thanks for the suggestions, you to Retodd. I will check out the bushings in the throttle lever. My RMK does that (throttle safety switch momentarily cuts out at light throttle). This does not feel like that, as it doesn't appear to cut the ignition, just fuel, but may be a little different symptom w/ EFI.
One thing I didn't think of, was I drilled a bunch of venting holes in the L side pan (1/4" holes) and covered the backside w/ some plastic mesh screen. When this was doing it the worst, I was in waist deep powder in the trees, pretty light snow too. Clutches may be getting wet!
I only rode the sled for one day, K rode it for 3 days before that and never complained of a bog, but she doesn't get as deep into the pow as I do (why I was riding hers, mine got just deep enuff to find the top of a rock).
Cool, thanks fo the help.
