04 summit clutch problem

got a 04 summit that wont down shift properly when i come to a stop it stays runnin at about 3500rpms then i tap the gas a bit then the clutch drops and it idles back to a normal idle any ideas on how to fix

doesnt sound like a clutch problem , sounds like you might be a bit len in the bottom end, next time try just flickin your choke on for a second, andsee if the drops your idle down, if so i would pull your carbs off clean them up in the pilot circut ecspecialy, and maybe put a turn on your air screw,for fatten up the bottom end

if this is a new problem for the year i would put money on a clogged pilot circut. I have seen many burn downs due to dirty carbs,

check your reed blocks. the boots delam causeing a lean condition. seen a couple burndowns from this. Mike

well i just bought it from a dealer and they said they went through it and i did set the idle down a bit and it still seems to do it ill try the choke idea and thanks for the advice guys
