04 summit 827 RKT big bore with 2700 miles on sled.

When/if i go take a look at it...what are somethings that i SHOULD look with detail at? to me thats a lot of miles.. but, if its well taken care of (which it looks like it is) then, i shouldnt be to concerned with it...i guess. Anyway, what are the most important things i should look at with a big bored sled like this with that many miles on it? (if that made any sense) I dont know how many miles are on the BB itself. my current sled has almost 2500 miles...and have never had a prob :)

Thank you! :beer; <----- guess what that is! :D

ideally you would have the crank checked out cuz thats all that really will wear out motor wise, maybe do a new top end in the thing and it should be fine, i got a leftover rental that already had 4200 on it and then i put about 800-1000 miles on it the next winter and then about 500-600 with my bigbore before the crank was so sloppy it was noticalbe with hand

Thought that 827RKT BB solved alot of the 800's problems? Make sure the skis are straight, check the crank out.

That 827 is probably more reliable then the stock 04 800.
Rings and pistons seemed to be a problem up till 06.
Crank would be the only thing to be concerned about. If the clutch is tight but is really movin then it's a good sign a bearing is going out....wish I would have know about that one.

Check the compression too, if she's not holding then you'd have to replace the rings and possibly the pistons in which it wouldn't be that great of a deal.
You could send it to Kelsey or even BJ and get any updates done to it and they could go through it too.

since these guys explained to you bout the motor id check the bulk head nun make sure its nice and straight... oh yea check the dip stick for metal flakes i wouldnt be to worried cause mines been flaking since new and it has 3800 miles on it with stock chain....
