03 XC SP rev limitor

My 03 edge is always hitting rev limitor. Or atleast that's what I'm pretty sure it's doing. I pin it or give the gas it goes up to 8000 revs hits the limitor and bogs out, every time. If I'm at cruisin speed say 10 mph an pin the trottle she pulls like othing and I'm up to 50 mph in about 3 seconds. I'm entering a hill climb race this weekend andd I need to solve this problem. I cant start off the line hitting the limitor and end up loosing. any help woud be appreciated.

sounds like your primary weights might be too light? What Alt you at? Where is your sled from? your secondary may not be shifting out completely also?

Not sure I bought the sled with the clutches set up different. I'm personally not mountain riding probably about 1000-2000 feet above sea level. I'm from Atlantic Canada. Flat land.

Also consider gearing changes that may have been done to set up for a different-than-stock track?

its an extended track 136 with a ripsaw track on it
