02 summit issues

Carb icing? (turn on carb heaters if cold enough). Carb or fuel filter blockage, possibly fuel tank vent kinked or blocked? Or maybe a clutching issue... broken spring or something...

how do you turn on carb heaters? do they exist?
They do on my 02 Summit 800 HM-X... not sure about your sled... on mine there is a black hose that runs to the left (pto) side carb from the engine, it has a red know on an inline valve to open and close the water flow to the heated carbs, if you have them on your sled. Never had to turn it on myself though. I hear you only need it when it is really cold, and recommended to turn off above like 20 degrees? F, depending on snow / humidity conditions... not sure on all that though, no manual with my sled.

They don't exist they are a mythical part on a magical ski-doo.....

i

of course the exist,(wheather your sled has them or not is up to you to figure out) what do think sled hed is just making things up? there should be a little red valve on the hose that runs from the head to the carbs this turns them on

I never used the carb heaters, got rid of them and the boost bottle to make a little room, if you've got water in your gas, dump a bottle of iso-heet in each tank of gas.

Don't remember if the dpm and carbs were calibrated as bad as the 02 800, dpm manifold have gas in it?
try unplugging dpm from mpem, fouled plug? to rich? ignition problems?

As mentioned above, could be clutch problems also.
