new ski doo, or dont?

I think that "centering" the engine is just another attempt to get the ill handling rider front chassis user friendly. Personally I would give it a year to build some feedback on handling, new engine, drive clutch, etc.

There is some really cool stuff with the new doo. I don't think it will work quite as good in the trees and sidehill department. It is wider than an axys but it might be close. There are a bunch of things the doo does better and is more fun at. My big gripes with doo were wide and fat, drags badly in snow, heavy but ride lighter, swaps out on steep sidehills, the skidoo stuff and the death wobble. I think they addressed most if not all of them. I also didn't think the 800 was all that down low. It was when the etecs hit about 7000 that it felt like it had more power than the pro. I am also not a huge fan of t-motion. Works in some situations and not in other. Skidoo has had fuel tank or pickup problems since the rev. That is my gripe list and it looks like they addressed everything other than t-motion. I will have to ride one and see if they handle better on rough gnarly sidehills but it looks like the axys will have some serious competition.

That vid showed me nothing on carving or sidehilling. I'd still need to ride one before I would ever buy one. All I want is to throw a leg over it and be able to ride it like my axys or Proclimb, foot/body position etc. Still don't think I'll ever get used to the turn down steering.

damn, that's one ugly sled. The all black/little green one looks WAY better. still fugly though.

I don't have Polaris underwear, I'm really curious about the changes. I was not a fan of the XM but in fairness I didn't ride one enough to get used to it. This torquey motor, that is centralized, narrower and scooted back is intriguing. New clutching, track, raised and narrowed up a bit.....have to ride one. Ski doo has had a good motor and if they've improved the chassis so it feels more like a snowmobile rather than a 3 wheeler I'd consider one.
It is ugly in the pics but after a beer or two it might be good enough....in low light.:face-icon-small-hap
