Who ordered a 2026?

Interesting watch on the new Snowest video. Doo's engineer said no belt drive in the near future for them for now.

They also seem open to having universal buddy tracking amongst the brands.

I’m on the fence between the shredder ds and the summit expert. Not a lot of test reviews on the new shredder yet but it really is intriguing with all the new updates . Sounds like it’s easier to ride and more comparable to the doo than before. I really love that Ron burgundy DS. Still a few days left to decide.

Yep, they gave up on the belt drive along time ago, way more negatives then gains. The chain is much more efficient.

Caper11- have you ridden the new 26 models? If so thoughts on the X vs Expert. Every time I watch a video I get what seems to be a different take on things again lol
Appreciate your thoughts!

There are two Snowest videos on the X and Expert on their Youtube channel that are good sources for this information.

To summarize those videos the X was easier to ride and the Expert required more effort but was more precise. They felt the new X was more predictable than prior models with the new coil shock in the rear.

No downsides on the Expert with the new 32 inch front end except you can initially override it.

Buy both and let us know what you think!

I am anxious to try them, that Expert is an impressive sled. So, I am hoping to this coming weekend actually, if the weather doesn’t ruin the trails.

I have information from two long time doo guys that I trust their opinion on, who rode both and spent alot of time on both the X and the Expert.

The Tmotion still does tmotion things.

My riding buddy who's the shop mech foreman at our dealer, talked me into a new sled. He dint have to talk very hard to me.
After I drove a 154, I kinda wish I didn't because it tickled my lust and greed :colors:button.
So, Last Friday I ordered a Natural 165 x 3.0 timeless black "X" model.
I dont want the big screen. My riding group, we all have Garmin Rinos & Gaia GPS. I would end up smashing the big gage, so its better for me to have the small one.

I ordered a NA 850/154 2026 Summit X too. When can I order my clutch kit from you for it?

Any time really. Its the same factory clutching from 2018 to 2026 so far.

I have these parts im gona put in it.
903 ramps BRP#417224642 [10k~12k factory turbo ramps] I been running them for 1.5 seasons already.
100/360 red primary spring
pivot bolt kit
225/330 secondary spring
an iB helix
19-53 gears

Right now my ol' beater with those parts above acts like a moto-cross bike. So snappy, i can dig the track in and auger around a tree so easy.

why do people whine so much about t motion?
It just became a talking point when some guy said you suck if you need it, so of course all sledders say they don't need it and then blame everything on it. Funny thing is Chris Brandt calls it the wonky rear end, but he uses c3 carbon skid and we have the same at ckmp and next time you see a c3 carbon skid without the track flex it, it moves more than t-motion. But I though it was stiff?! Even the owner says it is not rigid or stiff as it would break. Awesome skid though! I love how guys say they are awesome sledders in one breath then at the same time say they cant handle t-motion that moves 2 degrees either side and does not move(is rigid ) about 15 mph, due to centrifugal force of the track moving. Or if you don't believe me go to the local tire shop and have them take a car wheel moving at 50 mph off the machine and place in your fingers and try to make it wobble.

You have to remember 90% of customers ride 3 times a month 1000km or miles per year, you think those guys want to change belt drives....they want pull and go, the 1% can spend their money and have all the bells and whistles they need to make a snowmobile go.....

and it has always been that way, Polaris bought the tech, from buying trail tech, so they did not allow brp to use their frequency and arctic cat/garmin those geniuses chose a frequency that works in the US but in Canada that frequency is used for something else so it cant work in canada, anyone pumpin their fist at brp for the buddy tracking working with others is a moron, they should turn to polaris for that

that is a great idea but then it'd be harder to sell the expert as a niche model, for example.
there will be a part coming to loc out t-motion on the 2026 but might not be here in the fall, nothing niche about the expert is just has a different ride and if your a good rider you can put the x where the expert goes or vise versa, if you really want to make the expert easier , put ds 3 skis on it

i have a couple of experts turbos and two NA 850 with t motion. Honestly don't notice anything when riding either one. They all work good.
