What climbs better: 155 Boost or 165 NA?

The used market was just inflated by covid.

It's correcting now.

I sold a sled in 2018 for the same amount as i bought almost the same sled (year, model, miles, condition) in 2022. (Bought as a spare for my boys)

Ridiculous.

Wouldn’t we be seeing prototype chassis in videos? I’ve seen lots of 900 boosts but no new chassis.
Even the top tier pro riders seldom get to test ride the prototype chassis, and when they do, there is no filming happening. Most of the Polaris ambassadors didn’t get to see the Matryx until 1-2 months before public release, and they all take their NDA's seriously.

Yep we weren't able to pry any information except. "New chassis in 26"

Top 5 Poo racer.

He's ridden it.

Kind of... but also look at the new era of MSRP levels. Pre-covid we bought new NA sleds for $10k less.

Of course the volume of sleds being made and sold has decreased, but also the price just keeps going up. Unsustainable for the manufacturers and the consumers.

Back to the OP's post, a new 26 boost (assuming new chassis) should only cost about $26k. While our <25 sleds will sell for $13-14k. The depreciation is out of control right now and there is no sign of a bounce back with so many more sleds in the market than there are buyers.

In my experience average riders will struggle to climb with a 155 325 KHAOS boost. Over 8k boost will have an advantage but a good rider on a 165 NA can get alot of places.

Kind of a weird question or comparison. They are 2 completely different sleds for 2 completely different riders IMO.

No credible rumors that I've heard, just hoping that's what they do.

I think that would be a really dumb move for them if they did because the price point on it would be like $26,000 .... thats precisley what the industry doesn't need right now.

IMO, they'd do a lot better to figure out how to drop the MSRP on their current crop of sleds by 15% for 2026 and get people caring about the sport again before they start raising the price points with something like that.

My $0.02 *shrug*

I keep saying it... don't expect a true 9R Boost. The things that make the 9R great- LW crank and higher compression are not things that play well with boost. They could just add stroke to the current 850... but I don't think it's necessary and would probably make the bottom end worse. I think they have a really good motor/turbo package currently that would benefit from some more refinement. I would much rather see some magic happen with the clutching, track, and skid to make the sled GO a little more like the Doo and Cat.

To a large extent most of us don't really benefit from more power. The most common issue is we run out of talent and/or fitness.

We gain the most from refined and quicker power delivery and reliability. Along with an easier-to-ride chassis that loses weight in every iteration.

100% agree. Bring back the golden ticket and cheap financing. And stop flooding the market by pushing dozens of unwanted sleds on dealers.
