Arctic Cat Inc., announced today its 2024 snowmobile lineup headlined by the all-new CATALYST platform — a lightweight and centralized platform designed with the rider in mind. The company also reintroduced the full-size touring Pantera 7000, ZR 7000 and race-ready ZR 9000 RR.
“Model Year 2024 is one of the most exciting snowmobile launches in recent history,” said Troy Halvorson, Director of Product Strategy, Snowmobiles for Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc. “Along with introducing the new CATALYST platform, we are reintroducing models that welcome even more riders into the Arctic Cat family.”
The narrow, tightly compacted and completely balanced CATALYST platform features Arctic Cat’s laydown engine design with heavier components placed in the middle of the chassis and lighter ones placed on the outskirts to keep the ride balanced. It is one of the lightest weight and most durable platforms Arctic Cat has ever released, featuring a steel, one-piece front end and an aluminum body to provide extra support and durability where needed, without being bulky. Arctic Cat also consolidated parts for a 10 percent weight reduction and easier serviceability. The lightweight, rider-centralized design coupled with improved ergonomics makes for an agile, easily manueverable sled that minimizes rider fatigue and gives the rider better control. The chassis also features the first locking accessory system that is quick and easy. The ATACH system consists of two factory-installed base brackets found on the chassis that connect into two mounting brackets on the accessory. For additional security, there’s a set of keys to lock accessories to the sled.
The CATALYST platform is initially available with a C-TEC2 599cc, 2-stroke 600 series 125-horsepower class engine with additional power options being added in the future. The platform spans the trail, crossover and mountain segments with terrain-specific modifications to deliver the best ride experience in any conditions. The models include the ZR 600, ZR 600 ATAC, ZR 600 R-XC, M 600, RIOT 600 and RIOT 600 ATAC.
In addition to the ZR 7000, ZR 8000, ZR 8000 ATAC, ZR 8000 RR, and ZR 9000 Thundercat , Arctic Cat has added the Pantera 7000, ZR 7000 and ZR 9000 RR to its full-sized trail lineup. The Pantera 7000 fills the need for a full-size touring sled to share the ride with a friend, the ZR 7000 gives trail enthusiasts another 4-stroke trail option, and the ZR 9000 RR combines turbocharged power and electronic power steering with a race-ready suspension package for an exhilarating trail experience.
Arctic Cat’s crossover lineup continues to offer the RIOT X QS3, RIOT QS3, RIOT 8000 ATAC and RIOT 9000 to cater to the different types of crossover riding styles. For mountain riders, the M 8000 Mountain Cat ALPHA ONE now share the same chassis that includes a stronger rear tunnel and grippier tunnel edge roles which were standard on the 2023 Hardcore. The models have three available track lengths and electric or manual start. The M 8000 Hardcore ALPHA ONE comes with FOX QS3 coil-over shocks for all four shocks while the Mountain Cat utilizes FOX FLOAT 3 QS3 shocks.
Arctic Cat continues to offer the sport utility Norseman X 8000, the mid-sized BLAST models and youth sleds for Model Year 2024 along with a full line of accessories and ride gear.
