Avalanche Alliance will be hosting avalanche awareness open house seminars around the U.S. starting Sept. 24, 2021, featuring safety equipment inspections and presentations from KLIM snowmobile athletes Matt Entz and Dan Adams. These avalanche awareness open houses will be opportunities to learn about proper training and help prepare riders for the upcoming winter season.
Dan Adams from Next Level Riding Clinics and Matt Entz from Mountain Skillz will visit dealerships, snowmobile shows and other locations from September to December 2021. They will present about the dangers of avalanches, the importance of proper training and will discuss backcountry safety. The awareness open houses are not meant to replace true on-the-snow clinics and certifications, but they will identify key concepts and help riders understand the need for proper training.
Riders are encouraged to bring their avalanche airbag backpack, beacon, probe and shovel to their nearby open house for a preseason equipment inspection.
This is one of the ways Avalanche Alliance is helping the snowmobile community reach a higher level of avalanche awareness and safety, using funds from last year’s Avalanche Alliance KLIM Ultimate Backcountry Sled Giveaway to host these open houses.
This year, Avalanche Alliance has partnered with Lynx, Fly Racing, KLIM, Marlon, Timbersled and others to give away a custom-built 2022 Lynx Boondocker 850 with many other incredible prizes to raise money for avalanche awareness and education initiatives around the U.S. To donate for a chance to win huge prizes in the Avalanche Alliance 2021 Sweepstakes visit https://avtraining.tapkat.org/avalanchealliancesled.
