Arctic Cat has started 2021 on a positive note by moving Troy Halvorson up to the interim VP of Snow & International for Textron Special Vehicles following the departure of Craig Kennedy.
Halvorson brings over two decades of expertise, working at various positions with Arctic Cat since 1997. For the past two and a half years Halvorson has been the director of operations for Arctic Cat. He has also served as snowmobile product manager and for several years worked directly with mountain sleds in developing the M Series models.
Halvorson replaced Kennedy at the first of this year when Kennedy announced his departure from his 20-plus years at Arctic Cat. According to his Linkedin account, Kennedy has taken the position of Vice President Commercial for Argo XTV.
In a departure letter directed to Cat dealers, Kennedy wrote: “I have spent much of my life at Arctic Cat, and it will always be an important part of who I am. I am deeply appreciative of the opportunities I have had at this company.”
Kennedy also said: “All of you probably know Troy Halvorson, and know he is uniquely suited to his new assignment leading the Arctic Cat business through this transition. For those of you who don’t, Troy has served in just about every function during his 23-year tenure at Arctic Cat, knows our business and industry inside and out, and has an unmatched passion for Arctic Cat and its success.”
SnoWest will follow this transition closely and let you know of any future changes.
