Know the Snow

January 2020 Feature Summer Andersen

The Project has high hopes to continue providing warning signs across avalanche-prone areas and to continue to share our message: know the snow and come home to ride again another day.

Along with the warning signs, the Project provides packs for free to the community. These packs include an airbag, beacon, shovel and probe and they can be rented from Action Motor Sports in Idaho Falls, ID, or at High Mountain Adventures in Island Park, ID. Last season, these packs were taken out more than 100 times. For the upcoming season we are adding even more packs in hopes that they will continue to be used regularly.

Every year we cooperate with Action Motor Sports and offer free awareness seminars that also serve as fundraisers for the Project. All of the work we do and the packs we provide come from money donated. Everything we do is a direct result of the support and donations from the general public.

If all of our efforts bring home just one rider that would not have made it home otherwise, every single dollar spent and every moment of time dedicated to this will be well worth it.

Donations can be made at adamandersen.org.
