AmSnow.com is now SnoWest.com
When the news broke in the snowmobile industry that
American Snowmobiler (
AmSnow) was ceasing operations after its November issue, the publisher of
SnoWest Magazine recognized that a segment of the industry would lose its lifeline to product information and news.
So Ryan Harris,
SnoWest Publisher, got in contact with
AmSnow and made arrangements to acquire the publication and honor any and all subscriptions with
AmSnow readers.
“It sucks seeing a magazine title like
AmSnow cease operations. It’s been around for 34 years; it’s a staple in the snowmobile media,” Harris explained. “We didn’t want to see
AmSnow readers lose their connection to the sport. We wanted to do our part to maintain the direct contact to this segment of snowmobilers.”
Although the
AmSnow title will be on hold for now, the
AmSnow website, YouTube channel and social media outlets will remain active, and
AmSnow subscribers will receive
SnoWest Magazine beginning with the December 2019 issue and continuing throughout the length of their respective subscription contracts.
“Although the snowmobiling industry is strong, the print side of the snowmobile magazine industry has suffered significant cutbacks from rapid growth of digital media,” Harris explained. “
SnoWest has always recognized the importance of having a presence in print, web and social media. We know snowmobilers want first-hand information on products from unbiased experts. We are doing our best to maintain this presence for the snowmobile industry.”
SnoWest is in the process of analyzing all the assets of
American Snowmobiler and merging the strengths of both titles.
“It’s all about keeping the snowmobile industry vibrant and keeping
AmSnow readers involved,” Harris said.
