Yes, our timing was impeccable—this time.
Okay, so we won’t take credit for it snowing inches upon inches while we were in western Wyoming, but we did time our visit right. We were scheduled to ride the area around Brooks Lake Lodge (www.brookslake.com) for two days and it snowed and snowed and snowed. We woke up to several inches of new snow our first day there.
While the weather conditions weren’t always great for photos … when the clouds broke and the sun even hinted at coming out, the scenery was simply spectacular. The lodge, which sits at 9,200 feet, is within a stone’s throw of Brooks Lake and is surrounded by some of the most amazing mountains you’ll see anywhere in the western United States.
So we had the trifecta of perfect snowmobile conditions: new powder, some sun at times and over-the-top scenery.
Can’t wait for day two. But here’s a look back at our first day of riding.
